My wishes are inmates
Yearning to break free,
My legs, once towering
Pillars now wither,
My soul caged,
But undefeated,
These bones speak
Of ancient tales,
When they trod
The the vastness of
This world,
My wrinkles
Tiny fissures
In this once
Mighty temple,
Eroded by this illness,
Although I am anchored
To this port of solitude,
The oceans of my bedsheets
Navigate my soul
To many places,
I once dreamed of
